Springfield Township Board of Trustees is hosting a one-day tire recycling event for residents on April 17, 2021. The program is made possible through a collaboration with the Township, Hamilton County Recycling & Solid Waste District and Keep Cincinnati Beautiful.
The Tire Recycling Event will occur on April 17th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Springfield Township Public Works Department facility, located at 952 Compton Road.
In most cases there are fees associated with properly disposing tires. Storing tires on the exterior of residential properties can become unsightly and are not permitted in the Township due to the environmental hazards they cause. "We are excited to provide a way residents can conveniently dispose of unwanted tires this April. The partnership with the county and Keep Cincinnati Beautiful assures the tires will be properly recycled," shared Springfield Township Trustee, Kristie Dukes Davis.
During the event hours, Springfield Township residents can drop off any unwanted tires, FREE OF CHARGE to be recycled. The event is for residents only and proof of residency is required. Tires from business will not be accepted. Please have all rims removed from the tires. Tires with rims cannot be accepted.
