On March 8 we honored the outstanding members of our Fire Department at the 2025 Fire Department Awards with keynote speaker Mr. Jack E. Lechner, Jr., president and CEO of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Our team has had an outstanding year and we were excited to recognize their achievements.
Honorees include:
Full Time Firefighter of the Year: Adam Tonnis
Full Time EMS Provider of the Year: Alan Guile
Part Time Firefighter of the Year: Andy Schwartz
Part Time EMS Provider of the Year: Cameron Burns
Fire Instructor of the Year: Lt. Nick Flick
EMS Instructor of the Year: Lt. Jon Buesing
Lt. Vanderman, Lt. Flick, Captain Morgan, Joe Getha, Ben Browe, Alex Villanueva, and Lionel Jarvis received a commendation for successfully rescuing a child from an apartment fire.
Additional honorees include Troy Swearingen, Sam Kemper, Lt. Eckhoff, Jeff Haber, Alan Guile, Public Works Fleet Team, and Kirsten Kolkimeier.
